Japanese trade and deepening of its soft power in Africa

Japanese engagement with Africa in trade and commerce and other social economic fronts goes back to many decades past.  The growing influence of Japanese trade and deepening of its soft power in Africa can be felt in different African states. The Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has been looking to boost its global standing. In that effort, the country’s relationships with African states have become key.
