2026 Winter Olympics Day 4: USA and Sweden Clash in Curling Final

Jackie Wiles has experienced a series of events at the recent competition, including a fourth-place finish in the downhill and a bronze medal in the women’s team combined. The competition has been marked by both triumph and injury for the U.S. ski team.

Downhill Results

Jackie Wiles placed fourth in Sunday’s downhill race. Breezy Johnson secured a gold medal in the same event. During the race, Lindsey Vonn sustained a leg injury in a crash.

Women’s Team Combined

Wiles contributed to the U.S. team’s bronze medal in the women’s team combined, partnering with Paula Moltzan. The team finished ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin and Breezy Johnson, who placed fourth.

Wiles’ Post-Competition Comments

Following the bronze medal win, Wiles described the experience as intense and stressful, particularly while watching Moltzan’s slalom run. She expressed pride in Moltzan and acknowledged the emotional toll of the sport, referencing both Johnson’s victory and Vonn’s injury. Wiles also stated her gratitude for the opportunity to participate and her appreciation for her teammate.
