4 killed in fiery collision on US 60 near Gold Canyon

GOLD CANYON, AZ (AZFamily) — A fiery crash left multiple people dead near a Pinal County community late Friday night.
Just before midnight, Superstition Fire and Medical crews were called to a crash involving two vehicles on eastbound US 60 near Peralta Road. Firefighters arrived and found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames, and multiple people had been ejected from the vehicles.
Firefighters confirmed three people died at the scene. A fourth person was rushed to Desert Medical Center in critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries.
“Superstition Fire & Medical District extends its condolences to all those impacted by this tragic incident,” the department said in a statement.
The victims have not yet been identified.
The US 60 was closed throughout the night but reopened early Saturday morning. Arizona Department of Public Safety will be the lead agency investigating what led up to the collision.
