A former USGA employee who sold U.S. Open tickets on the black market has been sentenced to 14 months in a federal prison

PHILADELPHIA — A former United States Golf Association employee who sold millions of dollars’ worth of illegal U.S. Open tickets to local brokers was sentenced to 14 months in prison Wednesday, according to a release from U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams.
Robert Fryer, 40, of Perkasie, was also given three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $3,364,622 in restitution to the USGA and to forfeit $1,150,000 in profits realized during the scheme, under the sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Michael M. Baylson.
