Anta Sports Products has launched its presence in the United States with the opening of a flagship store in Beverly Hills, California. The store opened on North Beverly Drive on February 13.
The new store is located between Scandia Home and Wilson Sporting Goods, a subsidiary of Anta. Samuel Tsui, Anta Brands’ chief executive, stated the opening signifies the company’s commitment to the U.S. market and its belief in the intersection of sport, culture, and performance innovation.
Anta’s international profile grew significantly following the 2019 acquisition of a majority stake in Amer Sports for approximately $5.2 billion. This acquisition brought brands such as Arc’teryx, Salomon, Atomic, and Wilson under the Anta umbrella. Last month, Anta acquired a 29.1% stake in Puma from the Pinault family in a deal valued at $1.8 billion, becoming the German brand’s largest stakeholder. Statista data indicates Puma ranks as the fourth-leading sportswear company globally by 2024 revenue.
Analysts suggest Anta’s expanding global portfolio positions the company as a challenger to established sportswear leaders Nike and Adidas. Industry observers note Anta’s strategic approach and potential for long-term growth within the competitive sportswear market.
