Sony’s official PlayStation Black Friday deals start tomorrow
Yesterday Sony revealed that its official PlayStation Black Friday deals will start tomorrow, November 22.
These might be the basis for some of the best Black Friday PS5 deals without even seeing how retailers might augment them further.
However, with deals such as up to 25% off DualSense controllers, 30% off PlayStation Plus, and a huge 40% off PSVR 2, yan color me excited, to say the least. Definitely worth bearing in mind as we hurtle through today and toward the weekend; it might just be better to keep your powder dry…
If you’ve got a PS5 Pro recently, or are just looking at investing in more storage for your launch or Slim PS5, then a PS5 SSD deal could be just the ticket for you – and we have exactly that for you right now.
Currently, the WD Black SN850X SSD is on offer at Amazon thanks to a 31% discount. High-end SSDs tend to be on the expensive side, but this offer will save you some cash while offering a solid and handy 1TB of storage – perfect for a PS4 game library on PS5 Pro, for example.
The 4TB model is also reduced and is now at its lowest price ever at Amazon. This deal will save you over $100, so if you don’t mind splashing an extra bit of cash for more storage, I’d go for it; it’ll be all the storage you’ll ever need!
WD Black 1TB SN850X SSD: was $129.99 now $89.99 at Amazon
WD Black 4TB SN850X SSD: was $379.99 now $269.99 at Amazon
Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s open-world action-adventure game, is now 29% off at Amazon thanks to its limited-time offer. This deal will save you $20 and even better, it’s for Amazon’s exclusive Limited Edition version, which includes additional in-game content to enjoy.
Star Wars Outlaws – PS5: was $69.99 now $49.99 at Amazon
I’m starting today’s deals picks with one of the best prices on the PS5 Pro in the UK, for two reasons.
First, EE has discounted the PS5 Pro by 40 quid which is very welcome in and of itself, but it’s also offering an attractive trade-in offer that could see you bag up to £260 for your old console (a trade-in value that’s then boosted by a code emailed to you).
This would take your cash outlay on a new PS5 Pro down to £399 which is pretty attractive if you were thinking of upgrading this month.
PS5 Pro: was £699.99 now £659.99 at EE
Good morning once again! I’m back and looking to continue our steady stream of Black Friday PS5 Pro (and Pro adjacent) deals today while also dropping in any advice or tips that are relevant for this big sales season.
While not specifically on the PS5 Pro, there’s lots of excitement around the PS5 30th Anniversary Collection restock happening right now that I’m also covering live! Head on over to our live coverage if you’re interested in picking up the limited-edition hardware.
Just reverting to the core of this live coverage for a moment, I’ve got the latest best price on the PS5 Pro in the US.
Sadly it’s not had even the small price cut that UK folks are seeing which is a shame. As a result, Walmart’s listing for $699 remains your best option.
PS5 Pro: $699 at Walmart
Hold the phones, we may have some exciting 30th Anniversary Collection stock news from the UK!
It appears that stock of the PS5 DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition is live and holding at Currys! We recommend acting quick if you’re into this collection of limited edition gear and here’s the best link to use.
PS5 DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition controller: £69.99 at Currys
Away from specific deals, there’s an excellent milestone not far away from everyone right now, regardless of region.
There’s only a matter of hours before Amazon’s Black Friday Week sale officially starts! It begins at 12.01am on November 21 – tomorrow – so that’s the very first minute you can strike and expect a huge wave of deals to come rushing toward us.
However, it also gives you a week or so to bag what you want and play chicken with prices a bit if you’re comfortably doing that.
Either way, if you’re keen to strike early or browse early, make sure your details are up to date, and you can even start adding or wish listing the things you’re after to get ahead of the game. Tick tock!
Over at Box, the PS5 Pro remains cut in price by £40. It’s not a huge discount, but considering the console just launched, it’s one of the very best available options in the UK right now if you’re looking to go big and save some cash.
PS5 Pro: was £699.99 now £659.99 at Box
Good morning once again from the Black Friday PS5 Pro deal mines!
I’m once again here to scour the internet for the best PS5 Pro and PS5 deals to provide you with the best ways to get into PlayStation 5 or augment your setup.
However, let’s remind ourselves of the best PS5 Pro deals currently going, starting in the UK…
This is one for UK shoppers looking to add a premium controller to their PS5 Pro or PS5 setup.
If you’ve liked the idea of adding a pro controller to your PS5 setup but have balked at the DualSense Edge’s price tag, then the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro controller at its lowest-ever UK price could be just the ticket if you want features like remappable buttons, trigger locks, optional weights and grips, and more.
Nacon Revolution 5 Pro: was £199.99 now £159.99 at Argos
One of the biggest attractions of the PS5 Pro is that its sizeable 2TB of storage means you’ll have no trouble having a whole host of games at your fingertips. However, if you’re looking for a way to take multiple PS4 games onto PS5 Pro, or just store them with your regular PS5, then an expandable storage like I’ve found here is well worth considering.
The WD Black P40 1TB external hard drive is a perfect device for doing just that, and it’s come crashing down to a second lowest-ever price at Amazon right now! Snap it up and sort your storage woes (hopefully) in one fell swoop!
WD Black P40 1TB: was $139.99 now $99.99 at Amazon
I’ve spotted a great US deal on one of my favorite ever wireless gaming headsets that would be perfect for PS5 and PS5 Pro users!
The excellent Astro A50 wireless gaming headset is down to what I believe is its lowest-ever price right now at Best Buy and offers a brilliant way of getting premium gaming audio for less this November. Yes, it’s a little bit older, but quality endures and this is a super deal.
Note: you will have to get an HDMI adapter like Astro’s own one to make the A50 play nice with the PS5 but this huge price cut massively helps to offset that.
Astro A50 wireless gaming headset: was $249.99 now $149.99 at Best Buy
One of the questions we get asked by readers, friends, and family around this time of year – and specifically in the weeks close to Black Friday is : should I buy ‘X’ now or wait for Black Friday itself?
The simple answer now, only 10 days from the big day itself is, almost always yes. This is for a couple of reasons. First is that almost all the big retailers will now honour any further price drops on products, refunding you the difference should it drop further of over the sales period. This is an excellent safety net, and if you can confirm its the case for your PS5 console or accessory, then it means you can safely miss the rush, safe in the knowledge you got what you want and won’t be out of pocket.
The second reason is a little more simple and is the fact that many of the prices we’ll see now – and particularly from this Friday – will be the Black Friday prices. Period. That’s just how retailers roll nowadays with more extended Black Friday price periods rather than really specific deals only on one day.
As a result, we’re pretty confident right now – and especially at the end of this week – that the prices we see will be the Black Friday pricing, plus retailers will be honoring any differences should further drops happen.
Good morning once again, fellow Black Friday PS5 Pro deal hunters! I’m back once again to keep this page topped up with the best and latest deals on all things PS5 Pro and PS5 that I can find.
However, as we move closer to the big day itself, there’s a few bits of information and advice worth bearing in mind as committing to deals now can be a bit of a melon scratcher at times.
Anyway, strap in for some of that aforementioned advice, as well some of the best deals going.
There was a cracking deal on the Volcanic Red DualSense last week at Walmart which has sadly sold out but fear not as the same retailer has your back with the next best DualSense deal – on another red colorway too.
The Cosmic Red controller – a dark, almost burgundy-like, red – is now $65.98 at Walmart, its lowest price since last Black Friday, and has just under 10 bucks cut from its price tag. While we fully expect DualSense’s to go down further in price a little closer to Black Friday itself, this is the best deal if you need or want to buy one right now.
PS5 DualSense controller (Cosmic Red): was $74.99 now $65.98 at Walmart
If you’re looking for one of the best racing games from this year to get your teeth into this holiday season, or to get the most out of your PS5 Pro then we have found the deal for you.
The latest in Codemasters’ awesome F1 racing series is a stand-out game on the PS5 Pro, and we can tell you directly why that is. Our hardware writer, Dash, recently got to sit down with it and Codemasters to go hands-on with the game and hear about the tech that makes it so good. Here’s what he thinks of the game on PS5 Pro.
“F1 24 looks absolutely stunning on the PS5 Pro, achieving a lush 60 fps at 8K or a butter-smooth 120 fps at 4K. Ray tracing makes iconic tracks like Monaco and newer additions to the calendar like Las Vegas more life-like than ever, especially when you really crank up the rain and let its reflective surfaces shine. It will be a real treat for sim racers on the platform, but also makes for a fantastic showcase of what the PS5 Pro can achieve when all of the graphics options are pushed to the max.”
This is the game’s lowest-ever price too, so the value has never been better.
F1 24 for PS5: was $69.99 now $34.99 at Amazon
We’ve got a UK-focused deal to start us off today, and it’s an especially good one if you’re looking to save money on digital games or on a PS Plus membership or top-up this month.
The retailer has currently slashed the prices of its PS Store gift cards by a chunky 15%. Discounts on gift cards like these are the best and closest thing we’ll get to Black Friday PS Plus deals this year, they make buying any game a whole lot cheaper. We’d recommend jumping on these now if you want to top up your sub for less, or get one of the latest and best games of the year for, well, 15% less!
Welcome back to our live and running coverage of the Black Friday PS5 Pro and PS5 deals!
I’m Rob, the managing editor for TechRadar Gaming and I’m back at the helm of the live updates. I’ll be sharing some general advice and the best deals that me and my team have spotted as we race toward the big sales day itself.
If you’re on the hunt for a PlayStation 5-shaped deal, this is the place to be. Let’s get stuck in…
If you’re planning on stocking up on games this Black Friday, or are plotting a move over to the PS5 Pro and need more space, then you might well be in need of some extra storage. Lucky for you, I’ve found an excellent deal for one of the best SSDs for external use.
The Seagate Game Drive for PS5 offers 5TB of storage, which is plenty of space for anyone, and perfect if you’re taking a big library of PS4 games with you onto the Pro. This offer will save you $45.99 in total.
Seagate Game Drive for PS5 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive: was $169.99 now $124 at Walmart.
Still sticking with the PS5 accessories, you may want to forget about Sony’s fancy DualSense Edge, because this PS5 “pro” controller is now 25% off at Amazon.
While a bit more on the expensive side, even with the price cut, I think it’s totally worth it for the standout features alone. This controller is officially licensed for PlayStation gaming, as well as PC, and boasts trigger stops, mappable buttons, Bluetooth audio, and more.
NACON Revolution 5 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller: was $199.99 now $149.99 at Amazon
I’m back again with another amazing deal and this time it’s for the Sony Inzone H3 Wired Gaming Headset.
With excellent audio quality and a crystal-clear microphone for online gaming, the Inzone H3 is a great mid-range piece of hardware if you’re looking to upgrade your setup with a reliable and affordable wired headset.
This deal is almost at half price, saving you $41.99 in total.
Sony Inzone H3: was $99.99 now $58 at Amazon
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, another recent release, has also received a price cut across multiple online retailers, but I’ve found you the best current offers available.
It’s a great time to jump into the latest instalment as Season One has just launched, offering free updates in the form of new maps, Operators, weapons, modes, and more. If you’re looking for the lowest Black Ops 6 PS5 price then we’ve spotted these two deals, both of which save you £16.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: was £69.99 now £53.99 at Amazon UK
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: was £69.99 now £53.99 at Argos
If you’re in the UK and looking for something a bit more recent, Dragon Age: The Veilguard on PS5 is also on offer, despite only having launched earlier this month. It’s also PS5 Pro-enhanced and looks fantastic on the new console.
This deal will save you just over £12, and compared to other online listings, I think this option is an absolute steal if you’re looking to sink some hours into one of the best RPGs of 2024.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard: was £69.99 now £57.95 at Very
Now on to the video games! There are plenty of offers to get your hands on ahead of Black Friday but I’ve seen some particularly good deals on PS5 Pro-enhanced games across multiple retailers.
Let’s start with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a personal favorite, and one of the best action-adventure games on the PS5. This offer has been cut down to below half price, saving you $39 total.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: was $69.99 now $30 at Walmart
Hello and welcome to our weekend coverage of the Black Friday PS5 Pro deals. I’m TechRadar Gaming’s news writer, Demi, taking over for the weekend.
I realize Sony just launched its latest mid-generation console, the PlayStation 5 Pro, but if you’re not looking to invest in a console with a high price tag, these PS5 deals might be ideal for you.
One of the best PS5 offers I’ve found today is the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition + NBA 2K25 bundle at Walmart.
The PS5 Slim Digital Edition is a great alternative if you’re a digital-only gamer and don’t mind the lack of disk drive. This console will also award you with 1TB of storage, so there’s plenty of room in your digital library for the best PS5 games, including the bundled NBA 2K25.
Alternatively, Amazon in the UK is also offering up big savings on a PS5 Slim and PS5 Digital Edition, both of which are now available with a 5% discount. That’s up to £21 in savings – not huge, but worth having all the same.
PS5 Slim Digital Edition: $499 at Walmart
PlayStation 5 Slim: was £479.99 now £458 at Amazon
PS5 Digital Edition: was £389.99 now £369.99 at Amazon
If you’re after a big-hitting game for PS5 Pro or PS5 this weekend then this discount on God of War Ragnarok is a pretty good place to start.
It’s not a lowest-ever and it’s hovered around this price for a little while, but if you’re looking for a Pro enhanced game to go big with, there aren’t much better.
God of War Ragnarok: was $69.99 now $39.99 at Amazon
Not to be outdone on DualSense deals, the UK retailers are also getting in on the action, and EE is leading the way with some cracking deals on some of the newest colorways.
Cutting to it, at the EE Store, you can currently get the PS5 DualSense Chroma – Pearl controller for £57.99 and the PS5 DualSense Chroma – Indigo pad also for £57.99.
These are excellent prices on new colorways that only launched this month and saves you 12 quid on each.
PS5 DualSense Chroma Pearl: was £69.99 now £57.99 at EE
PS5 DualSense Chroma Indigo: was £69.99 now £57.99 at EE
Folks in the US can currently get hold of the exact DualSense variant right now that I’m after this Black Friday – and do so for the lowest price since last year’s sales!
This is an incredible deal on the Volcanic Red controller, with Walmart slashing its price by a tidy 12 bucks from $79,99 down to $67.99.
If you have the Volcanic Red PS5 Slim plates or other red PS5 accessories, then this is a brilliant deal in order to align your accessories aesthetically. I’m incredibly jealous!
PS5 Volcanic Red Dualsense controller: was $79.99 now $67.99 at Walmart
And the good news is that the PS5 Pro’s price has been slashed again by yet another UK retailer. Popular department store John Lewis is now matching the price cuts we have been seeing across the UK retailer landscape this week and is offering the PS5 Pro for £659!
Once more unto the breach of the Black Friday PS5 Pro deals we go! I’m continuing to search out the best deals on the PS5 Pro as well as the top complementing deals for Sony’s new console, and existing PS5.
And we’ll start out with some more good news on the PS5 Pro’s price in the UK…
Grab a bit more storage…
If you know you’ll need a tiny bit of extra storage for your PS5 Pro – despite its internal 2TB – or are just after a 1TB SSD for your regular PS5 then Corsair’s MP600 Pro for its lowest price since April is an easy SSD deal to recommend right now. You can pick it up for $79.99 at Amazon right now (was $109.99).
Get my favorite gaming headset of 2024 for a record low price
Turning our attention to some of the best accessories you can get for PS5 Pro and PS5 this Black Friday, I need to draw your attention to this deal on my favorite headset of 2024. It’s in my main list of highlight deals at the top of this live blog, but it’s so good I must draw your attention to it here as well.
The Arctis Nova 5 offers pretty aggressive value at its regular price point of $129.99 but now you can have its “affordable luxury” for a record-low price of just $91.99 at Best Buy.
This headset is extraordinarily good in every department from its audio quality to mic, to design and build, and also to its companion app which offers superb flexibility. Seriously if you’ve been eyeing up a quality headset for PS5 or PS5 Pro, this is one of the best value purchases you can make.
The PS5 Pro drops further in the UK!
In incredible news, another UK retailer has slashed the price of the PS5 Pro – and gone a tiny bit further than Argos did yesterday.
EE is now offering the PS5 Pro for £659 – a whole 99p lower than Argos, and a brand-new record-low price for the Pro in the console. Just a week after the console launched too; we’re swimming in unprecedented waters here!
Here’s one for the UK crowd given that it’s still incredibly early in the US.
UK PS5 Pro shoppers can team their new enhanced console with the DualSense Edge for less right now too. You can get it for £195.75 at Amazon right now (was £209.99).
It’s not got a huge discount on it, but it is the lowest Amazon price since a couple of flashes in October that were fractionally lower – as a result, this is basically Amazon’s lowest-ever price on the pad.
Good morning once again, and strap in for another day of Black Friday PS5 Pro deals and updates!
As a starter, it’s worth highlighting that two deals we spotted yesterday are both still live and kicking – so don’t miss out on them!
First, we have the PS5 Pro being slashed by 40 quid in the UK at Argos, which is incredibly welcome just a week on from the PS5 Pro’s launch.
Second, for those in the US, Amazon’s deal on PS gift cards offering Prime members 10% off is still live too, and is very welcome as a form of Black Friday PS Plus deals.
Early Black Friday PS Plus deals have joined the party!
Black Friday PS Plus deals are always a highlight of the sales season – if they actually appear. However, we have great news as Amazon is offering Prime members the chance to save 10% on PlayStation gift cards right now!
What do I know? Turns out I was actually wrong about a PS5 Pro discount…
Looks like I’ll immediately have to backtrack on my prediction of no PS5 Pro price cut this Black Friday as UK retailer Argos has already wielded the axe on the PS5 Pro’s price tag.
UK shoppers can now go to that retailer and bag the PS5 Pro for £659.99 – a saving of 40 quid!
Let’s hope this is the first of many on both sides of the Atlantic…
Will the PS5 Pro be discounted over Black Friday?
Among the many adjacent game deals and accessory deals, and even widening PS5 Pro bundle options we’re starting to see, one question is more important and critical than others: will the PS5 Pro itself get a price cut over Black Friday?
First the bad news: I don’t think so. Putting on my relentlessly realistic hat, it’s just too soon for a proper discount given the Pro only released on November 7. With PS5 Pro pre-orders doing well in Sony’s eyes, there would be no need for Sony to introduce an official price cut.
Now, the not-so-bad news: the above doesn’t stop retailers from doing a bit of price-cutting or value-adding, and we’re already seeing some versions of this such as this UK bundle at Very that sees the seller add disc drive to the PS5 Pro to form a bundle and take a few quid off in the process.
We’re hopeful of the value proposition of the PS5 Pro being increased with deals and bundles like this that throw in accessories, games, and more, over the wider Black Friday period given it’s too early for a proper price cut.
Good morning! We’re back at it today and seeing what PS5 Pro deals or PS5 accessory and game deals are appearing as we race toward the big sales day itself.
And we’re starting off big today: if you were eyeing up a big TV upgrade to go with your new PS5 Pro then you may well be looking at Sony’s excellent lineup of TVs. One in particular that’s always worth highlighting is the brilliant A95L, and it’s 65-inch model just so happens to be at a second lowest-ever price right now in the US and a lowest-ever price in the UK!
In the US, you can get it for $2,898 at Amazon (was $3,499.99) and in the UK you can also head to Amazon and get it for £2,799 (was £3,599).
Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 Pro is quite possibly the best-looking game I have ever played on any console ever. It is stunningly good. As a result, it’s one of the first games I recommend, and I will be pointing out any discounts I see on it between now and, well, ever.
While not a huge discount in the US, you can currently get it for $49.99 at Amazon in the US which is a saving of ten bucks. UK shoppers will have to stick to the regular edition of the game for the best value, currently going for £35.99 at Amazon UK.
UK shoppers can also make use of a cracking deal on a brilliant PS5 Pro monitor right now and save a decent chunk on one of the best premium screens going.
I found that teaming the PS5 Pro with a 120Hz-capable display got the absolute best out of the console and if doing exactly that is what you want then getting the brilliant Alienware AW3225QF 4K QD-OLED monitor for a lowest-ever price is something you should take notice of. Going for £839 at Amazon right now, the saving is a chunky £150 and, to repeat, gets you the screen for its cheapest ever price.
Speaking of particular retailers, now is also a good time to point out that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bookmark and regularly visit a few key ones from now on just in case you stumble across a great deal. The below retailers in the US and UK are the ones that we’d suggest sticking to as we head toward the big day itself.
US
Amazon: the largest selection of discounts
Best Buy: good discounts on games and gear
GameStop: lots of PS5 bundles and PS5 Pro games
Walmart: good for PS5 Pro accessories and games
UK
Amazon: the broadest selection of discounts on all things PS5 Pro and PS5
Argos: regularly price matches other retailers and offers same day pick up depending on location
Currys: good deals on Pro-enhanced games and a range of accessories
John Lewis: offers some good PS5 accessory discounts
Very: perfect for discounted PS5 Pro games
UK retailer Very is selling a PS5 Pro + disc drive bundle!
This is the bundle we’ve been hoping for since it was confirmed that the PS5 Pro came without a disc drive. You can now get the PS5 Pro + disc drive for £794 at Very. This bundle also saves you about six pounds from the combined listing prices, but it’s a very welcome first bundle of its kind that we’ve seen.
Having said that, the first price I need to tell you about is the best price on the PS5 Pro itself right now.
In the US, the best price we can find is a mere 99 cents off the listing price of $699.99. It’s not really a discount at this point, but getting the PS5 Pro for $699 at Walmart remains your best bet basically, at least right now.
However, folks in the UK have it ever so slightly better with the EE Store continuing its trend of shaving pounds off even the latest gaming gear. Right now, folks can pick up the PS5 Pro for £695 at the EE Store which is a whole £4.99 off the MSRP of the console. A small win, but a win nonetheless. However, we have spotted something else for UK shoppers that might be of interest if you’re prepared to wait a couple of weeks…
What kind of Black Friday PS5 Pro deals will we see?
Particularly given the PS5 Pro is so fresh and brand new, you may be wondering what kind of deals I’m going to be concentrating on here – which is a fair question!
While I don’t necessarily expect to see any discounts on the console itself, I am just a tiny bit hopeful of seeing some better value offerings on it. I’d really love to see some retailers bundle up the disc drive and vertical stand with the Pro and shave some money off the price tag, for example. These kinds of bundles will still be expensive, of course, but might be enough to convince folks to jump in and get everything they need in one hit.
Adjacent to the console itself, on things like PS5 Pro games, and PS5 Pro accessories, is definitely where we are going to see discounts and deals galore. PlayStation first-party games, and major games of the past couple of years which are Pro enhanced will drop in price , so look out for discounts on the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the Horizon games, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (and more).
Then we’re definitely going to see discounts on accessories and complementing hardware to the PS5 Pro too. Headsets, controllers, SSDs, racing wheels, TVs, monitors, and everything else will have prices slashed so look out for those – and we’ll be highlighting a bunch here – throughout the sales period.
Hello and welcome to our coverage of this year’s Black Friday PS5 Pro deals and sales. if you’ve been looking for a place to browse for deals on the new Pro console itself (hopefully) or any of the best enhanced games, or accessories to team with your PS5 Pro then you’re in the right place.
While we’re hopeful, but not expectant, of some better value offerings on the Pro itself – perhaps via bundles that include extras like the disc drive – we’re definitely going to see price cuts on some top games, as well as a plethora of accessories from TVs to headsets, and from controllers to storage.
I recently reviewed the PS5 Pro so know a thing or two about it and what it can offer you – and what it needs to be better value – and I’ve also been a PlayStation and gaming hardware editor and writer for years, covering the PS5 launch and stock shortage, and the PlayStation Portal stock debacle too, to name a couple of examples. Importantly, though, I’m also another PlayStation-head who loves to save money on games and accessories so I know what makes a good PS5 Pro deal and PS5 discount. So sit back, and let’s begin.
