Black Hawks play hero ball | Ozaukee Co. Sports

GRAFTON — Hero ball usually has a negative connotation in the sports world, suggesting someone tried to do way too much, often to the detriment of their own team.

The Grafton baseball team played a much different brand of hero ball Wednesday during a WIAA Div. 2 regional semifinal against University School of Milwaukee. A number of different players came through in the clutch, giving the Black Hawks exactly what was needed in a key situation to propel the club to a 7-6 victory in 10 innings at 9th Ave. Field.
