Mayor Mitchell Jordan awarded local football legend Adrian Peterson a key to the city and honored 10 other Anderson County athletes Thursday. The event, formally titled, “Black Sports History – Recognizing Local Athletes Through Time,” was sponsored by the Palestine Negro Business & Professional Women’s Club and celebrated the athletes’ accomplishments and their role as leaders.
