Going up against a series of tough pitchers in five games last weekend resulted in a trio of losses for the Cody Cubs at the Black Hills Veterans Classic.
The weekend Legion A baseball tournament in Rapid City, S.D., started in grand fashion for the Cubs with a 10-0 win over the team from Chadron, Neb. In the games they won, the Cubs hit the ball all over the field.
