Exam chiefs ditch ‘blacklist’ from GCSE to fight racism | News

The word “blacklist” has been blacklisted by an exam board in its computer science GCSE in a move that it says will help to stamp out racism.

AQA is following guidance from the National Cyber Security Centre, which has stopped using blacklist and whitelist. It says this equates white with good and safe, and black with bad, dangerous and forbidden. Instead it uses deny-list and allow-list.
