How Nigerian Socialite Bobrisky Maintained a Life of Luxury While in Prison

Controversial Nigerian transgender socialite Idris “Bobrisky” Okuneye reportedly lived a life of luxury while serving his prison sentence, according to findings from an investigative panel.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison in April for abusing Nigerian currency after pleading guilty to charges of tampering with naira notes by spraying them at a social event. Following his conviction, rumors circulated that he was actually living in a lavish apartment nearby instead of serving his full sentence. In response, a commission of inquiry was established to investigate these claims, which also included allegations of money laundering.
