The film Sinners achieved a record-breaking 16 Academy Award nominations, surpassing previous records held by Titanic and La La Land. To celebrate Black History Month, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is now offering a limited-time exhibit dedicated to the film.
The “Sinners” exhibit is available for viewing now through March 31. It marks the debut of the tour’s new Stage: 48 Script to Screen section. Warner Bros. Studio Tours operate daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets and discounts for Southern California residents are available at wbstudiotour.com.
The exhibit showcases a collection of authentic items that contributed to the film’s Academy Award nominations in categories such as costume design, production design, prosthetics, and hair and makeup design. Costumes worn by characters including Smoke, Stack, Sammie Moore, Annie, Pearline, Delta Slim, Cornbread, and Mary are featured.
Visitors can explore the environments of Club Juke and Clarksville through displays of set elements, original props, and prosthetics. These items illustrate the film’s storytelling and depiction of Black culture and the Blues within a Southern Gothic thriller.
Sinners was written, directed, and produced by Ryan Coogler, with Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian also serving as producers. The film was released on April 18, 2025. The narrative is set in 1932 Mississippi and centers on twin brothers, Smoke and Stack, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan. They return to Clarksdale, Mississippi, from the North to establish a juke joint, aiming to revitalize their hometown’s artistic expression, culture, and community. The story explores the challenges faced by the community as a dark force emerges, threatening its foundation.
