Prophet Carmel Breaks Silence on “Side Chick” Rumours — Says Viral Birthday Video Was Misunderstood
Written by Black Hot Fire Network on November 5, 2025
Renowned preacher Prophet Stanley Carmel has finally spoken out after online rumours claimed he was involved with another woman outside his marriage to Rev. Lucy Natasha.
The speculation began after a video went viral showing the preacher celebrating a woman’s birthday — a clip that quickly sparked gossip and accusations on social media. Some users were convinced the woman was his “side chick.”
“I Have Only One Wife” — Carmel Sets the Record Straight
In an exclusive interview with Oga Obinna on Obinna TV, Prophet Carmel dismissed the claims as baseless, explaining that the woman in the video was one of their spiritual daughters, not a romantic partner.
“As spiritual parents to many sons and daughters across the world, celebrating someone’s birthday shouldn’t be mistaken for having a side chick. I have only one wife,” Carmel said firmly.
He added that gestures like birthday surprises and mentorship dinners are part of his and Rev. Natasha’s ministry work — acts of pastoral care, not personal indulgence.
“People must understand that as ministers, we deal with many spiritual sons and daughters. Showing love and support is part of our calling,” he emphasized.
Reaffirming His Love for Rev. Lucy Natasha
Prophet Carmel also used the opportunity to publicly reaffirm his commitment to his wife, Rev. Lucy Natasha, describing her as his “only wife and true partner in ministry.”
The couple, who tied the knot in a glamorous wedding in 2021, lead the Empowerment Christian Church (ECC) and are among Kenya’s most high-profile pastoral duos — often admired for their unity, style, and international reach.
Rev. Natasha, popularly known as the “Oracle of God,” has in the past spoken about the importance of integrity and transparency in ministry, warning that social media often twists facts to create scandal.
Fans Rally Behind the Couple
After Prophet Carmel’s clarification, fans flooded social media with messages of support, praising the pair for confronting the rumours directly and maintaining grace under pressure.
Others called for restraint from online users quick to assume scandal.
“People need to stop misinterpreting every act of kindness,” one fan commented.
“Prophet Carmel and Rev. Natasha are doing great work — let them be,” another added.
