Terri Lynn Williams Womack, wife of U.S. Representative Steve Womack, died Sunday, January 19, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was 68 years old.
Terri Lynn Williams was born November 2, 1957, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to H.D. and Deanie Williams. She graduated from DeWitt High School in 1976 and attended the University of Arkansas. She and Steve Womack married on August 4, 1984.
Terri Womack spent over 35 years working for various courts. She served as chief clerk to Rogers Municipal Judge Tom Keith. Following Judge Keith’s election to the circuit court, she became his case coordinator. She later worked for Benton County Prosecutor David Clinger before returning to the circuit court under Judges Keith and Robin Green. She retired from public service in 2019.
Terri Womack enjoyed landscaping and cooking, often experimenting with new recipes for her family. She was also an animal lover, particularly fond of her miniature schnauzers, Auggie and Cooper. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her life, and she actively participated in their activities.
Representative Womack released a statement expressing his grief and acknowledging Terri’s legacy of love. Governor Sarah Sanders also offered condolences, highlighting Terri’s significant role in Representative Womack’s career and her impact on Rogers and Northwest Arkansas.
Terri Womack was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lynda. She is survived by her husband, Steve Womack, and their three sons: William Owens, Bradley Womack, and Phillip Womack. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Liam Owens, Kaden Womack, Luka Owens, and Mazzie Clementine, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
