Stocks Open Higher After Selloff Sends Indexes to 2022 Lows

U.S. stock indexes rebounded at the opening Tuesday, getting on course to halt three days of punishing declines.

The S&P 500 rose 1.7%, a day after the broad index slumped 3.2% to its lowest level for the year. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 2.5% while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.3%.
