Utah Football To Wear Black Throwbacks This Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Football has officially announced their uniforms for week five and it’s going to be a brand new look.

After teasing the new black throwbacks earlier this season, the Utes will debut the new set this weekend in their annual Dark Mode game.

Given the matchup with Arizona is set for an 8:15 pm MT kickoff, it provided an ideal setting to debut the new look.

Utah Football’s Throwback Uniforms

The Utes first debuted a throwback uniform during the 2015 season. That set included the white helmet with red interlocking U decals, red top, and white bottoms.

In 2021, Utah added an all-white throwback look, which they wore in the program’s first-ever win in The Coliseum. They later wore the throwbacks in the program’s first-ever trip to the Rose Bowl as well. In 2022, Utah added a red helmet to the throwback repertoire, which they debuted in their return trip to the Rose Bowl.

With the black throwback uniforms and new red throwback pants, Utah now has a complete set of tops and bottoms in the three school colors.
