VMFA Celebrates Black History Month with Music Event

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) began Black History Month with a musical performance on Friday. The event featured two collegiate musical groups.

Musical Performances

VCU’s Black Awakening Choir and the Hampton University Marching Force Band provided the entertainment for the event. The performances were held in conjunction with the current exhibition, “Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.”

Exhibition Details

“Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys” is currently on display at the VMFA. The exhibition will remain open to the public through March 1.
