A Massachusetts woman accused of kidnapping her child was arrested Friday in New Hampshire, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
The agency said 35-year-old Angelica Gomez was being sought “in connection with a parental kidnapping and endangering of a minor” from Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood.
Gomez was arrested in Manchester on charges of kidnapping and endangering minor by relative, authorities said. The child was found safe.
The alleged kidnapping happened in October, according to the U.S. Marshals, who did not give any further information. The Boston Police Department, which U.S. Marshals said contacted them for help, has not mentioned Gomez’s name and did not appear to announce any parental kidnapping cases last month on its news feed.
Gomez will be arraigned in New Hampshire as a fugitive from justice. Her extradition to Massachusetts is pending.
It was not immediately clear if she had an attorney.
