Kenya’s Hannington Kiplagat will represent the nation at the inaugural Africa eFootball Championship. The competition will be held in Casablanca, Morocco, from January 15 to 16, 2026.
The event will take place at the Cathédrale Sacré-Cœur and will utilize the eFootball platform, published by Konami. Konami is the official video game partner of the Confederation of African Football for the AFCON 2025 and 2027 tournaments, and the same platform is used for FIFAe competitions.
Hannington Kiplagat, a 20-year-old from Kibomet in Trans Nzoia County, is making his first international appearance. He is currently a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student at Multimedia University of Kenya.
