There’s nothing better than celebrating artists who we’re rooting for around The Honey POP. We especially love spotlighting the beautiful Black artists on the come up. For June, we wanted to shine the spotlight on 12 amazing and talented rising Black artists we think you should check out for Black Music Month. This was a tough list to come up with as there are so many amazing rising artists out there, but we made it happen and hope you enjoy the list.
If you’re a fan of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert or if you watch the concert series occasionally, you might’ve come across Infinity Song’s Tiny Desk Concert. We couldn’t help but start with this band for a few reasons. Our main reason is that Infinity Song is a soft rock band of siblings. Their names are Abraham, Angel, Israel, and Momo Boyd. The group began as a trio in 2015 with their debut EP, Infinity’s Song. Then the lineup consisted of Abraham, Angel, and their sister Victory, who later became a solo artist.
It wasn’t until around 2020 that Israel and Momo joined the group. Infinity Song’s genre is soft rock, though they aren’t afraid to mix in R&B, gospel, folk, and pop. Their music often explores empowerment, reflection, good times, relationships, and everyday life. Whereas the vibe of their music is dreamy, graceful, and melodic. Over the years, the group has released numerous songs and four albums. Their recent album, INFINITY SONG, was just released on June 12.
They have harmonies for days and a beautiful sibling bond. It’s not every day we get to see a group of Black siblings taking on music together as a group or band. You can hear their music influences, such as jazz, classical, and gospel music. If you’re a fan of artists such as The Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, Cleo Sol, or WILLOW, then you should check out Infinity Song.
Our top song recommendations by Infinity Song include: ‘Hurricane,’ ‘Hater’s Anthem,’ and ‘Just Loving Me.’

Next on our list is RYBE. RYBE, which stands for Rhythm and Vibe, is a sister duo from Los Angeles whose genres are R&B and hip-hop. The duo consists of Regan Aliyah and Ryan Asher. If one of the sisters looks familiar to you, that’s because she is. Regan Aliyah is known for her roles in a few shows. She’s been in XO, Kitty, where she plays Julianna, and Ironheart, where she plays Zelma.
Their music gives off a confident, upbeat vibe, while themes they’ve explored so far include empowerment, individuality, and resistance. RYBE made their debut with their single ‘Freedom Rider’ in 2019. The duo has four songs to their name, with their latest track being ‘Jerry Springer,’ released earlier this year on April 17. The sister duo is known for posting RYBE remixes of their favorite songs on their Instagram. A few they’ve done include “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar, “On My Mama” by Victoria Monet, and ‘1, 2 Step’ by Ciara ft. Missy Elliott.
We see big things for them and can’t wait for them to release more music. They have the talent, vocals, confidence, and everything in between. Oh, and let us not forget to mention that they have a 90s and early 2000s R&B and hip-hop flair. It’s why we couldn’t resist adding them to our list. If you’re a fan of artists such as 3Quency, XO, or FLO, then you should check out RYBE.
Our top song recommendations from RYBE are ‘Flirt’ and ‘Freedom Rider.’

A Black pop-punk band? We have that on this list. The Paradox is another band that was featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. They most recently had theirs as part of NPR’s Black Music Month special. The Paradox is a four-member pop-punk band from Atlanta consisting of vocalist and guitarist Eric, lead guitarist and vocalist Xelan, bassist Donald, and drummer PC3. While most artists on our list have been around for three years or more, The Paradox made their debut during the summer of 2024 with their song ‘Imani.’
The Paradox vibe is fun and will make you think of early 2000s pop-punk music. The themes they often explore in their music include relationships, heartbreak, and drama. Since their start in 2024, they’ve released several songs and one EP. Their latest release, ‘Good For Me,’ came out June 5 last year. Even with a limited discography, they’ve accomplished so much in so little time. They’re the first Black pop-punk band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts. If that’s not enough, they have co-signs from big names such as SZA, LeBron James, Billy Joel Armstrong of Green Day, and Travis Barker.
They haven’t been around for long, but they’re here to stay. They’re trying to make a lane for themselves and show people that Black people deserve to be part of pop-punk music. The Paradox has 1990s and 2000s pop-punk vibes that millennials might fall in love with. If you’re a fan of Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, or Meet Me at the Altar, then you should check out The Paradox.
Our top song recommendations from The Paradox are ‘Get The Message’ and ‘Do Me Like That.’

Our next artist you should check out isn’t someone you should mess with. Swaying away from duos, groups, and bands, next up is Rian Wyld. She’s a producer, songwriter, and hip-hop artist from New York. Her name comes from her late brother Ryan, whose memory she wants to keep alive. She’s been writing raps since 2011, but she has a deep history with music, including having a degree in music.
While she’s a hip-hop artist, she labels her music rap soul. The vibe of Rian’s music is reflective and honest. Some of the themes people will hear in her music include healing, loss, and perseverance. She stepped onto the scene in 2018 with her debut single, ‘What You Gotta Say.’ Since its release, she’s released several tracks throughout the years, including her recent single ‘Poppin’, which was released on January 28, 2026.
Rian Wyld isn’t one to bite her tongue for anyone. She’s spoken against the use of AI and made a track about Timbaland after he looked down on her artistry. Our main reason you should check out her music is that she keeps it real. While keeping it real, she’s also deep, brutally honest, and her music is relatable. She’s not afraid to rap about the inner and everyday struggles people go through. If you’re a fan of Ms. Lauryn Hill, Rapsody, or Jill Scott, then you should check out Rian Wyld.
Our top song recommendations from Rian Wyld include: ‘Hold On,’ ‘Next Move,’ and ‘Comments.’
