A$AP Rocky Addresses Drake Dispute on New Track

A$AP Rocky’s new album, Don’t Be Dumb, continues a public feud with Drake. The album features lyrical references directed at Drake, reigniting a previously simmering conflict.

The ongoing dispute between the artists has escalated through recent music releases, with both rappers responding to each other’s lyrics.

New Album Diss

A$AP Rocky’s track “Stole Ya Flow” contains lyrics seemingly aimed at Drake. The song includes lines referencing Drake’s past relationship with Rihanna and accusing him of stylistic imitation. Lyrics include, “First you stole my flow / So I stole your bitch,” and a reference to potential plastic surgery. Rocky confirmed in an interview with The New York Times’ Popcast that the song is intended for Drake, though he offered a more ambiguous explanation stating it is “for whoever thinks it’s about them.”

Background of the Feud

The current exchange follows a series of diss tracks beginning in late 2023. Drake initially appeared to target A$AP Rocky and Rihanna on his album For All the Dogs, with lyrics referencing their relationship and Rihanna’s album Anti.

Previous Responses

Drake’s initial remarks prompted lyrical responses from Rocky, as well as from Future and Metro Boomin on “Show of Hands,” and Kid Cudi on “Wow.” Rocky discussed the origins of the conflict in the same New York Times interview, attributing it to perceived jealousy and misunderstandings among former friends. He indicated a lack of desire for reconciliation, stating, “It don’t even need to be [resolved]. For what?”
