A$AP Rocky has released a music video accompanying two tracks from his fourth studio album, DON’T BE DUMB. The video, titled “WHISKEY / BLACK DEMARCO,” visually represents the songs “WHISKEY (RELEASE ME)” and “AIR FORCE (BLACK DEMARCO).”
The project features filmmaker Tim Burton, who plays a role in the narrative. Directed by A$AP Rocky and his AWGE collective, the video depicts Burton inadvertently releasing six illustrated personas from his sketchbook into New York City.
Visual Narrative and Character Design
These personas – GR1M, MR. MAYERS, RUGAHAND, BABUSHKA BOI, DUMMY, and SHIRTHEAD – were designed by Burton and represent different aspects of Rocky’s artistic style. The characters create a sense of curated chaos throughout Manhattan in the video.
Musical Composition
“WHISKEY” incorporates a hook by Damon Albarn and ad-libs from Westside Gunn. “BLACK DEMARCO” combines punchlines with a melodic contribution from Spencer Sutherland.

The full album, DON’T BE DUMB, is available for streaming on Spotify.
