African startups secured approximately $3.1 billion in funding during 2025. This represents a notable increase from the $2.2 billion raised in 2024, as reported by Launch Base Africa on January 5, 2026.

Kenya led all African nations in startup funding, attracting $933.6 million. South Africa followed with $625.7 million, and Egypt received $430 million.
