SC Austria Lustenau have continued their recruitment drive ahead of the new season by completing the signing of highly-rated African forward Seydou Diarra.
The 21-year-old striker joins the newly promoted Austrian Bundesliga side from French sixth-tier outfit FC Gueugnon, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2027.
Diarra arrives in Austria with a growing reputation as one of the continent’s promising young attacking talents and is expected to bolster Lustenau’s options in the final third as they prepare for life in the top flight.
Speaking after completing the move, the young forward expressed his delight at joining the club and representing Austria Lustenau.
“I am very happy to be playing for Austria from now on. All the guys and the staff have given me a great welcome. I have settled in well with the team so far and will give everything on the pitch to ensure that we achieve our common goals,” Diarra said.
The transfer represents another significant piece of business for Austria Lustenau as the club looks to strengthen its squad for the challenges ahead. Club officials believe Diarra’s pace, attacking instincts and potential for development make him an exciting addition to the team.
Having made the switch from FC Gueugnon, the striker will now be aiming to adapt quickly to Austrian football and make an immediate impact as Lustenau seek to establish themselves in the Bundesliga.
With a long-term contract secured, both player and club will be hoping the partnership proves successful as Diarra begins the next chapter of his career in Austria.
