Black Veil Brides has released a new single, “Certainty,” marking the beginning of 2026 with a dynamic and emotionally charged track. The release is accompanied by a music video directed by George Gallardo Kattah.
Black Veil Brides, consisting of vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian Coma, have released their new single “Certainty.” The song is available on all digital service providers and will be featured on the band’s upcoming album, scheduled for release via Spinefarm Records later this year. A music video for “Certainty” has also been released, filmed in Colombia while the band was on tour.
According to Biersack, the concept of “Certainty” is central to the band’s upcoming album. The song was inspired by the film Conclave, exploring themes of religious certainty and the potential for rigid belief systems to become restrictive. Biersack notes that the song reflects the current political and social climate, where echo chambers of absolute belief can hinder growth and change.
The music video for “Certainty,” directed by George Gallardo Kattah, features striking cinematography and aligns with the song’s themes. Biersack described the video as one of their favorites, praising Gallardo Kattah’s interpretation of fear and pride as biblical twins and the overall visual quality. The video is available for viewing online.
Biersack stated that “Certainty” was the final song written and recorded for the album. More details about Black Veil Brides’ seventh studio album will be released soon. The band, known for its theatrical style and fanbase, has a significant presence on social media with nearly 12 million followers across Instagram and Twitter. Their previous album, The Phantom Tomorrow, reached number one on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and their single “Bleeders” topped the Active Rock radio charts.
