Bomet County Leader Ratings Released by New Pollster

Written by on January 23, 2026

A graphic circulating on Facebook, which purports to display ratings of Bomet County leaders by Mizani Africa Research Company, has been determined to be false. The graphic includes alleged survey results for the Bomet County governor, woman representative, and Senate races, as well as parliamentary contests in Bomet East, Konoin, Chepalungu, and Sotik Constituencies.

The Claim

The Facebook post, accompanied by a graphic, claims to present poll results from Mizani Africa Research Company regarding Bomet County leaders. The post is labeled “Mizani Bomet County polls.”

The Findings

Despite being attributed to Mizani Africa, the poll does not appear on the firm’s official website, where they typically release research findings. Similarly, the survey is not present on Mizani Africa’s Facebook page or X (formerly Twitter) account, platforms they regularly use for publishing such data.

On December 31, 2025, Mizani Africa disowned the poll on X, warning the public against relying on it. The firm stated that the poll was unauthorized, inaccurate, and should be considered fake. They indicated that their verified Bomet County poll was still underway and would be released through their official platforms.

PesaCheck examined the graphic and concluded that it is FAKE.
