Brother Ali Returns To Australia With Horrorshow For September Tour

Acclaimed American hip hop artist Brother Ali is heading back to Australia for the first time in almost a decade, teaming up with Australian favourite Horrorshow for a special run of shows this September.

The three date tour will bring together two of hip hop’s most respected storytellers, delivering an evening built around thoughtful lyricism, powerful performances and a shared passion for authentic songwriting.

Brother Ali returns armed with his latest album, Satisfied Soul, continuing a career that has seen him become one of underground hip hop’s most respected voices. Across ten studio albums, the Minneapolis MC has built a reputation for tackling personal struggles, social issues and resilience with honesty, earning admiration from fans and fellow artists alike.

  • Thursday, September 17 – Factory Theatre, Sydney
  • Saturday, September 19 – The Triffid, Brisbane
  • Sunday, September 20 – Corner Hotel, Melbourne

Pre-sales begin Tuesday, July 7th at 10am AEST, with general tickets on sale Wednesday, July 8th at 10am AEST.

A storied career

Brother Ali has counted hip hop pioneers Chuck D and Rakim among his mentors while performing on some of the world’s biggest stages, including Coachella, joining him on the Australian run will be longtime collaborator DJ Abilities, whose acclaimed turntable work has made him a standout figure in American underground hip hop.

Sharing the stage will be Australian hip hop mainstays Horrorshow, since emerging from Sydney’s thriving scene in the mid-2000s, the ARIA nominated duo has become one of the country’s most respected acts, earning Gold certification and building a catalogue celebrated for its introspective lyrics and timeless production.

With five studio albums behind them and a loyal fanbase that continues to grow, Horrorshow remain a defining force in Australian hip hop, making this pairing with Brother Ali a natural fit.

Fans can expect an evening celebrating lyrical craftsmanship, meaningful storytelling and the enduring spirit of independent hip hop.
