The Stallions Ladies of Burkina Faso are finalizing preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco. The team has completed two training camps featuring players from the national league and is now entering the next phase of their build-up.
Coach Pascal Sawadogo and his squad began the second phase of preparations on Thursday at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou. This phase emphasizes physical readiness, with all players having participated in at least 16 matches this season within the domestic league.
The team is scheduled to depart for Morocco late Monday into Tuesday. Upon arrival, they will be joined by foreign-based professionals to commence the third phase of their preparations.
Similar to 2025, the Stallions Ladies will play two friendly matches against the host nation, Morocco, as part of their preparation for the tournament.
