CAF Champions League group stage concludes this weekend

The CAF Champions League group stage nears its conclusion, with several teams vying for the remaining qualifying spots. Only three of the eight available positions have been secured: Pyramids FC, Al Ahly, and Stadium Malien.

Group A Standings

Pyramids FC has already qualified with 13 points and faces Power Dynamos without pressure. A tight race for second place exists between RS Berkane and Power Dynamos, both with 7 points. RS Berkane hosts Rivers United, who are eliminated, and must win. Power Dynamos needs to outperform Berkane, considering tie-breaking rules.

Group B Competition

Al Ahly, with 9 points, is qualified and could still contend for first place. AS FAR (8 points) and Young Africans (5 points) are battling for the second qualifying spot. Al Hilal hosts Lupopo, and Mamelodi Sundowns hosts MC Algiers in a crucial match. The outcome of these games could significantly impact qualification.

Group D Showdown

Stadium Malien has already secured first place with 11 points and will observe the match between Espérance de Tunis and Petro Atlético, both with 6 points. The two teams will face each other in Tunis in a decisive match to determine who advances to the quarterfinals. Simba SC, already eliminated, will play against Stadium Malien.
