The CAF Champions League is set to resume following a break for the recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which Senegal won. The group stage of Africa’s premier club competition continues with Matchday Three.
Two matches are scheduled for Friday. Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will play Al Hilal of Sudan at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. Simultaneously, Al Ahly of Egypt will host Young Africans of Tanzania at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Al Ahly and Young Africans are currently tied at the top of Group B, each with four points. Al Ahly holds second place due to goal difference. The match between these two teams is expected to significantly impact the group’s final standings.
In Group C, Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Hilal are also tied with four points each. The fixture between these two teams in Pretoria is anticipated to be a key factor in determining which team advances to the knockout stages.
