Clint Black returns to UT Tyler Cowan Center, performance set for March 12, 2027

The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center welcomes legendary country music star Clint Black for its upcoming 2026-27 season. 

Black will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2027, at the Cowan Center. His first visit to the UT  Tyler Cowan Center was in 2007. 

“Clint Black is a Texas country music legend, and we are thrilled to have him return to the Cowan  Center,” said Jeff Noblitt, Cowan Center executive director. “With his Grammy and CMA awards and string of No. 1 hits, Clint Black is the epitome of the Cowan Center’s goal to bring big names and big entertainment to our East Texas audiences.” 

Pre-sale tickets are available now, with public ticket sales opening Monday, July 13. For more  information, call the Cowan Center box office at 903-566-7424, or visit cowancenter.org. Box office  hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Black surged to superstardom in 1989, reaching No. 1 with five consecutive singles from his  triple-platinum debut, “Killin’ Time.” He followed that with the triple-platinum, “Put Yourself in My  Shoes,” along with several platinum and gold albums throughout the 1990s. He wrote or co-wrote  more than three-dozen hits, 22 No. 1 and 31 Top 10 singles, making him one of the most successful  singer/songwriters of the modern era. 

He is currently being honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with “Clint Black: The Hard Way On Purpose,” a career-spanning exhibition celebrating his enduring impact on country music.
