CORTIS keep things in ‘MOTION’ on ‘90s Southern hip-hop track

CORTIS are keeping things in motion. The BIGHIT MUSIC group have released their latest digital single, ‘MOTION (feat. Juicy J)’, marking their first collaboration with Memphis hip-hop veteran Juicy J.

Inspired by ‘90s Southern hip-hop, the track pairs looping beats and a punchy hook with distinctive rap flows. CORTIS — comprising MARTIN, JAMES, JUHOON, SEONGHYEON, and KEONHO — also took part in the song’s lyrics and composition, with MARTIN and JUHOON contributing to its second verse.

The collaboration traces back to the group’s early songwriting sessions before their debut. Their shared appreciation for Juicy J’s work and the legacy of Three 6 Mafia eventually developed into an ongoing creative relationship.

For MARTIN, a longtime listener of Memphis hip-hop, working with one of his musical influences marked a significant step in his journey as an artist.

The release arrives ahead of CORTIS’ debut at Lollapalooza Chicago on 1 August, followed by their first North American tour, 2026 CORTIS TOUR IN NORTH AMERICA.
