Dollar Steady as Markets Await US Inflation Data

Singapore, August 12 (QNA) – The dollar traded sideways at the start of the Asian session on Wednesday, as currency markets awaited the release of inflation data later in the global day.

The yenآ was flat against the dollar at 159.275 yen, hovering around its weakest levels of the month despite the recent joint intervention by US and Japanese authorities to strengthen the Japanese currency, while the euroآ held steady at $1.1542.

The British poundآ was also unchanged at $1.3508. The Australian dollarآ and its kiwi counterpartآ were both level at $0.7064 and $0.5879 respectively. (QNA)
