Grammy Museum hosts hip-hop block party

Grammy Museum® comes alive for the Third Annual Hip-Hop Block Party, a museum-wide celebration of music, art, culture, and community.

The Museum will feature an LA Drumline performance, a Black Music Month Panel, Monetizing Hip Hop through Film and Television presented by AAFCA Panel, Talk Box Demo with Artist Producer Andre Troutman presented by Live Out L!ve, The Mic Is Live! with Roland/Open Mic, vendor pop-ups and a makers market, fashion shows by Worthy Opp, DJ sets by Tempest and DJ R-Tistic, spoken word and comedy hosted by Barbara Fant, Urban MusIQ: A Game Night For Music Nerds hosted by Michael “MJ” Jackson, The HBCU Divine 9 Experience choreographed by Jamal Josef, an MC Cypher hosted by Thomas “Rated TG” Torres, a Black Music Collective rooftop activation featuring Special guest performers, and a Jam Session hosted by the National Black Musicians Coalition. Every floor will be alive with the sights and sounds of hip-hop culture.

Join us as we celebrate and uplift local artists, creativity, and community. This event is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
