Grammy-nominated hip-hop producer Tay Keith dies aged 29

Grammy-nominated hip-hop producer Tay Keith has been found dead, aged 29, in his Nashville apartment.

Local police confirmed Keith, real name Brytavious Chambers, had died, but no cause of death was announced.

A report from Nashville police read: “No foul play is suspected in the death of Brytavious Chambers, 29, also known as Grammy-nominated record producer Tay Keith. He was found dead in his Martin St. apt. this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check. His death is unclassified pending autopsy results.”

Keith was behind hits such as Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode, Drake’s Nonstop, and BlocBoy JB’s Look Alive.

He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019 for Travis Scott and Drake’s Sicko Mode, and in 2024 for Drake and 21 Savage’s Rich Flex.

“We talked everyday,” BlocBoy JB wrote about his long-time collaborator on Instagram, adding “yeen even tell me you was leaving”.
