India secures 5 medals at competition Chandrika wins gold

The Indian boxing team concluded the World Boxing Futures Cup with a total of five medals, securing one gold and three silver. The competition, held across Youth Olympic weight categories, featured assured performances from the U-19 men’s and women’s teams against international opponents. Approximately half of the Indian contingent earned medals during the event.

Chandrika’s Gold Medal Victory

Chandrika spearheaded the Indian team’s success, winning gold in the women’s 51 kg category. She defeated Uzbekistan’s Mardonova Nazokat with a unanimous decision in the final.
