Kashmiri Diaspora Protests in Bradford: Demands Justice for PoJK

The Kashmiri diaspora organized a peaceful protest outside the Pakistani Consulate in Bradford, decrying Pakistan’s approach to the unrest in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The demonstrators aimed to draw international focus to alleged human rights abuses in the region, uniting activists, community leaders, and concerned locals.

As they clutched placards and chanted, protesters demanded an end to what they termed as repression and intimidation by Pakistani authorities. They criticized reports of excessive force, movement restrictions, and limits on freedom of speech, arguing these measures violate democratic values. Speakers emphasized the plight of Kashmiris under Pakistani rule and called for transparent, accountable governance.

One speaker highlighted, ‘The voices of ordinary Kashmiris cannot be silenced through crackdowns,’ underscoring the necessity of peaceful engagement and political accountability. Demonstrators appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to closely monitor PoJK’s situation and support efforts to protect human rights and freedom.

The event concluded peacefully, with a reaffirmed commitment to advocating for justice and awareness about PoJK’s issues. Organizers pledged continued activism for rights protection, urging global stakeholders to address human rights concerns affecting civilians in the region. (ANI)
