KUCCPS Offers 36 KMTC Programs for Form Four Graduates

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced application details for the Kenya Medical and Training College (KMTC) March 2026 intake. The portal opened recently, and KUCCPS has outlined the available courses and their respective requirements.
Form four leavers who achieved a minimum grade of C or D in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) are eligible to apply for the available slots.
Available Courses
KUCCPS has listed 36 certificate and diploma programs available at KMTC. Certificate programs include Community Health Assistant, Health Insurance Management, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, and Medical Emergency Technician. Other certificate options are Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, and Certificate in Public Health.
Diploma programs include Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Community Health, Community Oral Health, Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counselling, and Health Insurance Management. Additional diploma courses are Health Promotion, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing and Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing, Mental Health and Psychiatry, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Occupational Therapy.
Minimum Subject Requirements
Minimum entry requirements vary depending on the program. Some courses require a mean grade of C (plain), while others accept D+ (plus) or D (plain), based on the subject combination. With the exception of Mortuary Science, all courses require a minimum grade of C – (minus) in either English or Kiswahili and Mathematics.
List of Campuses
The programs will be offered at KMTC campuses across Kenya, including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Embu, Kakamega, Nyeri, Machakos, Meru, Bungoma, Garissa, Kitui, and Homa Bay.
Applications are to be submitted through the KUCCPS online system via the student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke. The application window will close on January 27, 2026, and candidates are encouraged to apply within the next 14 days.
