Lil Durk Spends Over Four Months in Solitary, Legal Claims Emerge

Rapper Lil Durk has been in solitary confinement for 131 days, according to his legal team. The situation stems from possession of an Apple Watch while incarcerated.

His legal representatives have filed a motion alleging he has been held “without process” and citing a possible Eighth Amendment violation.

Legal Action and Conditions of Confinement

Lil Durk is represented by Christy O’Connor, who reports he has been denied access to commissary and is limited to one phone call per month. In-person visits are also not permitted.

Durk is confined to a small cell containing only a bed, toilet, and sink. O’Connor has stated that the psychological effects of prolonged solitary confinement are well-documented.

Location and Conflicting Explanations

Lil Durk is currently being held at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center. The facility has reportedly provided inconsistent explanations regarding the duration of his solitary confinement.
