Brayton and Brydon Feister could again be ineligible to play high school football this season for Massillon (Washington, Ohio).
According to The Canton Repository — part of the USA TODAY Network — the Ohio High School Athletic Association filed a complaint with the Ohio Supreme Court on Friday, Oct. 23, the eve of the Tigers’ matchup against McKinley, challenging the brothers’ eligibility.

OHSAA attorney Joseph Fraley has asked the Supreme Court to issue a stay on the 5th District Court of Appeals’ Oct. 16 ruling, which declared the Feister brothers eligible, and also asked to prohibit the appeals court from taking further action on the matter, unless it decides to dismiss the case.
If the Supreme Court issues a stay, the Feisters would again be ruled ineligible to play, as they were when the Stark County Common Pleas judge ruled on Oct. 9.
According to The Repository, there is no timeline for when the Supreme Court could make a ruling.
The dispute between the OHSAA and the Feisters started after the state association denied the family’s request for an exception to the transfer rules. It determined the family’s move into the school district was driven by the brothers’ desire to transfer from Archbishop Hoban (OH), rather than a residential move that necessitated the transfer.

Brayton, who is a senior committed to Oregon, and Brydon, a highly ranked defensive end recruit as a junior, were among six Massillon players whose eligibility became the subject of a legal dispute.
