Medipol’s sports health bridge to Africa: strategic partnership signed with Burkina Faso

Medipol Health Group has added another milestone to its international health investments by signing a historic sports medicine cooperation protocol with Burkina Faso. Under the agreement, Burkinabe national athletes will receive advanced treatment at Medipol; additionally, special training programs will be organized for African sports physicians.

Operating with the goal of making Türkiye a global hub for health tourism, Medipol Health Group has consolidated its strength on the African continent with a strategic partnership. During a ceremony held recently at Medipol Mega University Hospital, a comprehensive sports medicine cooperation agreement was signed with the Burkina Faso Sports Embassy.

TOP-TIER TREATMENT FOR ATHLETES, TRAINING FOR PHYSICIANS

Thanks to this special agreement, Burkinabe professional athletes will gain easier access to sports medicine, traumatology, orthopedic surgery, and functional rehabilitation services. The medical transfers and recovery processes of athletes whose treatment is challenging in their home country will be carried out under Medipol’s expertise. The partnership will not be limited to patient treatment. In order to enhance national competencies in sports health, continuous training programs will be implemented at Medipol for Burkinabe sports physicians and healthcare personnel. Furthermore, the two parties have also included in the cooperation the work toward establishing a “Medipol Representative Office” in Burkina Faso in the future.

The signing ceremony was attended by Burkina Faso Sports Ambassador Charles Kaboré and Burkina Faso’s Ambassador to Türkiye Brigadier General Vinta Somé. Representing Medipol Health Group, Deputy Operations Director Dr. Uygar Üstün, International Patient Services Director Dr. Murat Şimşek, Africa Regional Director Dr. İsmail Murat, Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Prof. Dr. Adnan Kara, as well as Abdoul Halim Kabora and Nkombo Mayeckou from the Africa team, were present at the ceremony.
