Neveu, an experienced coach, stated his role is to revitalize the team and restore its ambition. He intends to establish a clear structure and draw inspiration from successful models like Mauritania, where he previously managed the national team from 2012 to 2014. Neveu believes the national team should serve as a unifying force and showcase the nation’s talent.
The former Syli National coach faces a significant challenge in securing qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027. He acknowledges that considerable work lies ahead to achieve this goal and build a competitive squad.
