Oscar Ntambi and Nikhil Sachania recently concluded a test session in Kenya as they prepare for the Safari Rally Kenya. The rally is scheduled to take place in Naivasha from March 12–15.

Test Session in Naivasha

Ugandan rally driver Oscar Ntambi traveled to Kenya over the weekend to conduct a crucial test session. The session took place at the Stoni Athi testing grounds and focused on optimizing performance for the challenging terrain of the rally. Ntambi was driving a Mitsubishi Evo X Ralliart.

Adjustments and Collaboration

The test session involved evaluating suspension settings, durability, and overall pace. Adjustments were made to improve stability and endurance, key factors given the rally’s rough roads, deep ruts, unpredictable weather, and mechanical stress. Ntambi collaborated with Kenyan driver Nikhil Sachania, sharing insights and data to maximize setup efficiency.

Ntambi expressed confidence after the session, stating that the car felt good and that adjustments had been made that gave them confidence heading into Naivasha. His co-driver, Muhamadi Uthumaan, emphasized the importance of consistency, careful car management, and completing all stages reliably.

Safari Rally Kenya Details

The Safari Rally represents the third round of the World Rally Championship. This year’s edition will feature 20 competitive stages covering over 350 kilometers. The rally is known for its high speeds, rocky tracks, water crossings, and rapidly changing conditions.

Ntambi competes as part of the KCB Racing Team, which has a diverse lineup of five drivers, including Karan Patel, Tinashe Gatimu, Nikhil Sachania, and Queen Kalimpinya. This reflects the growing strength of East African representation in international rally competition.
