President Ruto presides over 2026 Kenya Music Festival State Concert in Bungoma

President William Ruto is currently presiding over the 98th, Kenya Music Festival State Concert at the State Lodge, Bungoma County, marking the culmination of a festival that attracted 143,000 students from across the nation.

 

Held at Kibabii University since August 1, the festival is themed, “Enhancing the Creative Economy Through Knowledge, Skills and Artistic Production for Sustainable Development.”

President Ruto is accompanied by the First Lady Rachel Ruto and the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka among others.

The festival brings together learners from across the country to showcase their musical talents, creativity and artistic skills, highlighting the role of the creative economy in Kenya’s sustainable development.
