Brandy attended the Black Music Collective’s fourth annual Recording Academy Honors on Thursday, January 29th, in Los Angeles. The event, held at the Fairmont Century Plaza, took place during GRAMMY week, preceding the GRAMMY Awards on February 2nd.
Brandy was one of three honorees at the event, receiving the Black Music Icon Award. The award recognizes artistry, innovation, and service that has shaped the music industry and inspired generations. Pharrell Williams and Kirk Franklin were also recognized during the ceremony.
Brandy attended the event with her daughter, Sy’Rai Smith. She appeared on the red carpet at the event.
