Buy From A Black Woman To Launch Buy From A Black Business Platform

Buy From A Black Woman is expanding with the launch of Buy From A Black Business. The platform will now showcase all Black-owned businesses, allowing those in the community and beyond to support Black entrepreneurs.

“Black businesses aren’t lacking talent or dedication; they’re lacking infrastructure and the kind of long-term support that helps entrepreneurs create generational wealth,” Nikki Porcher, founder of Buy From A Black Woman and Buy From A Black Business, said in a press release.

BFABW expanding into a new platform

As large corporations and brands continue to roll back their DEI efforts in the US, Buy From A Black Business signifies the importance of creating long-term solutions that help Black entrepreneurs grow and build generational wealth.

The platform features a directory, promotional campaigns, and collaborative programs designed to increase visibility and drive consumer engagement. The directory will officially launch on June 19, 2025, coinciding with Juneteenth.

The non-profit will also launch the “A Summer of Legacy” campaign, which will educate consumers on how they can support and engage with Black-owned businesses in the long term. The campaign will feature community events and national awareness efforts, highlighting the importance of supporting Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

Buy From A Black Woman

BFABW was founded by Nikki Porcher in 2016. It provided Black women with educational programs, an online guide to hundreds of female-owned Black businesses, and funding to help Black women business owners achieve success.

In March, it announced the end of a partnership with H&M and paid the $83,000 it owed the organization almost a month after it was due.

Porcher said the first two years of working with H&M were smooth, but things shifted in 2023 when the partnership moved from the sustainability team to the inclusivity and diversity team. She claimed she was excluded from meetings and key decisions.
