A counseling practice, Couch Clarity, in Elmhurst, Illinois, will host a session for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council on Thursday. The session will address burnout and chronic stress impacting entrepreneurs and leadership teams.
Melissa Bercier, owner of Couch Clarity, will lead the visit at the practice’s Elmhurst location, situated at 101 and 129 W. Vallette Street.
Elmhurst city officials are anticipated to be in attendance.
The session will provide guidance on identifying the initial indicators and symptoms of burnout. Discussions will also cover the impact of prolonged stress on decision-making processes and overall company well-being.
Participants will receive practical coping strategies designed for implementation within their organizations.
A key component of the visit will be an introduction to Couch Clarity’s “walk and talk” therapy model. This model utilizes movement along the Illinois Prairie Path, located behind the office, to potentially reduce anxiety and depression.
Couch Clarity describes this approach as fostering clarity of thought and more grounded leadership.
