Nathan Smith was last seen on Tuesday, February 3, when he reportedly left his home barefoot without a phone. He was subsequently reported missing, prompting a search effort. Cherokee County Fire Department divers located and recovered his body from a pond in Mayfield Park, near his home in Milton, on Friday morning.

Police Investigation

The Milton County Police Department announced the recovery of the body earlier Friday. Authorities stated that there is no indication of foul play at this time. However, the Milton Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division will continue to treat the case as an open and active investigation.
