During a church service in Othaya Constituency, Nyeri County, Ruto dismissed claims of a strained relationship with the region’s voters, asserting that opposition propaganda would not undermine the ties he has cultivated over time.

Ruto stated his readiness to be judged on his work, emphasizing that effective leadership is defined by service delivery rather than slogans, insults, or political theatrics. He encouraged residents to assess leaders based on tangible development outcomes.

The President accused his opponents, including his former deputy, of relying on slogans and lacking a clear agenda. He expressed confidence that his development record would secure victory in future elections. Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, often perceived as an ally of Rigathi Gachagua, publicly reaffirmed his support for President Ruto during the event. Kahiga declared Ruto as his President and refuted claims of divided loyalties. He also confirmed his continued membership within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
