Vodacom Business Kenya Concludes Final Step in Official Winding-Up Process

Vodacom Business Kenya Limited (In Liquidation) has formally issued a notice convening a virtual meeting for its members, which will mark the conclusion of its liquidation process.

The corporate meeting is scheduled to take place virtually on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, starting at 12:00 p.m. East Africa Time (EAT), through an online digital platform.

According to the official statutory announcement published under the Insolvency Act, 2015, the gathering serves to present the final liquidation account to company shareholders.

Joint liquidators George Weru and Muniu Thoithi will present a detailed financial account showing how the enterprise winding-up was conducted across the country.

The joint liquidators are executing these responsibilities on behalf of the company, and they carry no personal financial liability during the corporate procedure.

Official administrative correspondence and documentation management for this formal process remain directed through PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) offices located within Nairobi, Kenya.

Shareholders who wish to participate in the virtual session must submit written attendance confirmations by email no later than Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Once membership details are verified by administrators, registered participants will receive electronic credentials and access links required to join the scheduled virtual session.

Liquidators confirmed that full liquidation accounts will be dispatched to registered members in advance, but shareholders can request copies if missing by August 24.

Members unable to join the online forum can designate an authorized proxy, provided proper statutory documentation is submitted prior to the August meeting.

Vodacom Business Kenya operated as the local corporate arm under the broader Vodacom Business Africa Group, which delivers telecommunications across various African markets.

The enterprise firm provided managed Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure, hosted systems, corporate data connectivity, and business mobility solutions.

These corporate communication services were catered to multinational entities, mid-sized enterprises, and large public institutions operating throughout East Africa and beyond.

The entity originally commenced local commercial operations back in 2008, initially trading under the corporate brand name Gateway Telecommunications Kenya Limited.

The business subsequently rebranded to Vodacom Business Kenya in 2011, which followed the successful acquisition of Gateway Telecommunications PLC by South Africa’s Vodacom Group.

Over its operational tenure, the technology firm specialized in customized managed networks and technological services, which were governed by specialized Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

The enterprise catered specifically to corporate customers requiring reliable network integration, but the company later transitioned into formal voluntary winding-up procedures.

This upcoming final session represents the formal statutory closure for the entity, which has been under active liquidation management for several months.
